Very helpful and polite. I have compared different storage facilities and I prefer Shurgard because it's clean, security is good and there's access 24-hours.

From the moment I contacted Shurgard by phone, I have been very impressed by the exceptional standard of customer service the company provides. It was this exceptional customer service which made me take out a contract with the company. The exceptional level of customer service has continued: when I went to finalise the contract and collect the keys to my storage unit, I found myself running late, yet the staff at the Greenford site kept their office open for 20 minutes after it was due to close to make sure that I could collect the keys. This saved me an incredible amount of inconvenience. It was Outstanding. Shurgard is a great company!!

I got a quote on the telephone. When I called back to book, I was told there was a £15 set-up fee which wasn't mentioned in the quote. When I turned up at the site the next day to complete the paperwork and pick up the keys, I was told that I would have to buy a lock for £14.99, otherwise I couldn't have the unit. This was not mentioned on either call. The site office was closed despite it being opening hours - the person working there had forgotten to put the notice up saying he was somewhere else on site, so I almost gave up and went home. Very poor overall. If things were not time critical for me, I would definitely have gone somewhere / anywhere else.
