Bad service shurgard in Edgware Road
last night I found the lock for the entrance was broken I tried to call the branch number but the number is not working I phoned this number ‭0800 368 0420‬ I explained to him what I experienced last night he told me I will phone the branch I will tell them to ring you no one ring me until this time

Firstly they tell me new customer gets storage for 1 month for £1.00

Firstly it is untrue when you say storage for new customer £1.00
Then you add compulsory insurance £18.00 then if you are moving from bigger to smaller
Transfer fee.
So why say 1£?

Hello, sorry to read there was some confusion in regards to your first-month charge. The £1 special offer applies to the monthly rent of your storage unit and is available to new customers. The only extra costs you may need to pay are a one-off administration fee and a unique sealed lock to your storage unit to guarantee no one else can access your belongings. Although all our stores are fully insured, you still need to get an insurance to cover your stored items. Our rental prices can’t include insurance for your belongings because the cost depends on the value of your goods. Professional, cheap & no hard sale.

Simply blew all other storage companies out the water - not only cheaper but also didn’t harass me with strong sales approach. The likes of Safestore & Big Yellow Storage won’t give a quote without you giving your details and 10 secs after completing the form I was being bombarded with calls. Safestore were so bad I blocked their number so they just resorted to emailing everyday almost begging for my custom.
Shurgard weren’t like that and were very friendly and professional when I went there to sort the unit out, with the guy I had been speaking to on email, popping back from his lunch to sort things out rather than make me wait which was a nice touch. Very impressed with the service and happy to recommend.

Best place to rent a storage

It was amazing service top to toe,, ( Jem ) a member of staff who dealt with me was outstanding he understood what i’m Looking for so he recommended the best storage size and location as well as best insurance cover he showed me around so I know how to start and done all the paper work efficiently and quickly and all that happened in a cheerful manner..good price,clean and tidy place,good condition storage,easy access.

Very good service

Great service, friendly staff they helped provide the right size storage for our needs. A quick and straightforward process which was great as we had loads of stuff to unload from our car.

Signing document was the most manual, paper intensive process I’ve come across this decade. Staff did their best but given no technology to make process easier.

Appalling lack of trolleys which I will be resporting to the relevant government Health & Safety agencies.

When providing the feedback to staff on trolleys, one particular staff member had an appalling attitude. Staff seem to have poor morale and no customer service training.

Hello, we are sorry to read you felt there was too much paperwork. At Shurgard we do try to keep the administrative side of renting a storage unit as easy as possible. Nevertheless we find it important to thoroughly go through the contract and the Terms & Conditions with our customers. On our website we also explain why the whole move-in process takes about 15-30 minutes.
We have trolleys at the disposal of our customers to make loading and unloading as easy as possible, but sometimes during peak moving times there can be more demand than available trolleys. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. We'll pass your feedback on to our operational department so we can review the number of trolleys at your location.

From reservation online to talking to someone regarding the booking to seeing the storage space things just flawed. Good staff who explained everything well. Happy with my decision to use Shurgard. Would recommend especially the Burnt Oak branch in London
