Further to the fire which took place at our Croydon Purley Way store on 31st December 2018, the period to submit insurance claims (for customers that have an insurance in place through our broker Marsh) was exceptionally extended to 90 days and ended on 31st March, 2019.
The acceptance of a claim made after 31st March 2019 can no longer be guaranteed and will depend upon the discretion of the insurance company. The normal insurance claim procedure would take over and you need to visit Marsh’s website for the standard customer claim form (https://www.marshconnect.eu/shurgardMC.htm).
We have carefully considered the best way of making counselling available to anyone in need of it. We have set up a partnership with Mind in Croydon, which has offered its services to anyone in need of counselling support.
If you contact them on 020 8763 2064 or email@example.com stating your Shurgard customer number (which you can find on your Shurgard contract, invoice or insurance certificate), we will work with them to cover the cost of your counselling sessions.
If you have already been working with Mind in Croydon, we will also work with them to retrospectively cover the cost of your past counselling sessions.
We have also set up an alternative phone number: you can call the 0800 368 2202 seven days a week during our office hours. This number will connect you with the first available Shurgard store where the staff will do all possible to offer further assistance.
